How To Save Dogs, Cats, Black Birds and other Important Critters In Our Cities

Many stray animals, and just animals in general, in the city are stuck: they are no longer wild, and totally reliant on humans now. We can't go back, so here is a list of things the city can do to accommodate animals, cut costs, and stop the euthanasia. Helping the animals is the right thing to do. Ignoring is truly sad.

  1. Sensors and flashing lights installed on roads to alert drivers when an animal is crossing. Saves the city money and saves pets lives.
  2. Drinkable fountains for blackbirds and other birds every few blocks. Increases bird population, and helps general environmental issues.
  3. Stop poisoning rats, instead employ cats to keep the rat population in check, or find ways to mitigate the problem.
  4. Automatic Feeders for stray cats and dogs in areas where it's needed. Maybe run them with solar panels. If the city has found ways to take photos of our license plates and run them through a datebase instantly, they can do this.
  5. Ban fixing pets and strays: it's never cheap or compassionate or right to do these predatory surgeries to control population. Good old fashion common sense and compassion will solve population issues. Why are the Karen's of society so obsessed with fixing cats? I don't know. Please just stop.
  6. There are other ways to continue this fight for the animals, but this is a great start.
