I have experiented with an artificial intelligence art generator(AI generator ), and it didn't work for me all that great, but based on other people's work, it looks like a promising, cool new thing.
It appears to be theme generated which may or may not work for some of us. If I am not a big anime fan then I may not like the options I have to choose from in the apps settings. It is promising, though, for artists, bc you can use the generator to see how your ideas will work or use it to create a piece and then digitally remix it to make it your own.
I also think that AI tech in general is going to sweep this nation with all kinds of inventions and new ideas. It will probably be used by the government and military and police. If it can be used in the military, that is usually the catalyst for major success in the market.
So here we go, this could get scary, but for us artists, it can certainly be positive. Having said that, I probably will use traditional methods of art bc it's fun. I'm sure I will start using and experimenting with AI generators at some point. It's like a dishwasher: I will probably use it. Some people however, will still do the dishes the old fashion way, bc it's fun. Some of us just need something to do with our time.
The fact is, the 1% at the top are using high tech to get ahead of us, so us normal people have no choice, but to keep up somehow, but that's the fun part: Figuring out new ways to keep up.
